Slash: Romance Without Boundaries

So, party games! Everyone at the party was very enthusiastic about the fic-pairing game, so here's some background ...

The original game is Slash: Romance Without Boundaries, which I helped Kickstart ... which meant they sent me a PDF of the rules and the first set of character cards. [you should buy the game]

I confess we made our own cards, as neither [personal profile] ladymoonray or I were familiar with many of the named characters in the PDF. There were also some constraints on producing the physical cards, by which I mean I didn't have time or money to get them professionally printed up: so instead I created a spreadsheet, had [personal profile] ladymoonray deface amend some of my characters and add more, and did a mailmerge to print 'em onto labels. (A process not without its share of angst and defacement.) Then I spent a cheery couple of hours on Friday sticking labels to standard playing cards. And then -- PARTY!

It really is a marvellous game for spawning plot-bunnies. (One day we should have a flash-fiction workshop based on this game.) (And while we're at it, a separate stack of cards for Tropes, and AUs, and Literary Forms ...) Strangely -- or not so strangely, given the delicious BEER -- I can only recall a few of the pairings y'all came up with:

* Thor / Eowyn (hair care!)

* Hannibal / The Black Pearl (cannibal, eh? watch out for splinters)

If anyone does write, or has written, fic spawned by the game, do post a link here! And ditto for pairings and scenarios that have dissolved in a mist of Blue Moon!

I remember these from the game I was in for a while:

Mickey/Will Graham
Eomer/Theon Greyjoy (it *really* wasn't meant to be)

And there was something bad with Davy Jones from your table, too...

We had one where.... I think most times Dean Winchester ended up blackout drunk next to where Sam got it on with the other character.
